右四十一章上章云有無相生，非高上之士不容無疑，故次之以上士聞道。夫道若昧、若退、若類、若偷、若渝，不可得而見，聞可笑之由。惟高上之士稟性沖虛，故能超然直入，不言而信，無為而成之也。中人以下未免半疑半信，下愚不肖者不惟不信，又且笑而侮之也。善貸且成者，貸下士笑侮之過，而成上士勤行之功也。雖下愚不肖，一覺其初，便可反善，人之不善，何棄之有。

頌曰：至道元容易，人心自謂難。中人猶擬議，下士轉(zhuǎn)顢頇mān hān(糊涂而馬虎)。莫顢頇星在，秤兮物在盤。
